Poetmap is an open-source, community-maintained cartographic database of poets - documenting where they were born, lived, worked, and died. The Service allows registered users to submit new entries and curators to review submissions before they go live.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
When you submit a poet entry or other content ("Contribution"), you represent that:
By submitting a Contribution, you grant Poetmap a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute that Contribution as part of the open dataset, including after account deletion (though disassociated from your identity upon request).
Poetmap and its curators reserve the right to edit, reject, or remove any Contribution at their discretion.
You agree not to:
The Poetmap codebase is open-source under the Apache-2.0 licence. The underlying data contributed by the community is intended to remain freely available.
Biographical facts about public figures (birth dates, places, etc.) are not themselves copyrightable. However, original written biographies submitted to Poetmap are contributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence unless otherwise noted.

Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the data it contains is accurate or complete. Poetmap is a community project - all data should be independently verified before being relied upon for scholarly or professional purposes.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Poetmap and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
